Hey everyone!
I hope you all are doing well and taking care of yourselves. Today we are doing part 2 of the Heavenly Healthy Snack ideas. These ideas are cool, different, and are some go-to snacks. we have sweet, salty, savory, you name it, we got it!
I don’t know about you but I typically want a sweet snack so I may have a few more of those hehe.
So why do we want healthy snacks?
Well, I think it is obvious in that, if we want to have a snack in between meals, we should do so smartly and know what to make. I also want to stay on top of my goals and crush them. If you guys are also looking for an awesome workout program to do right now, I highly recommend Gains by Brains’ 24 days December Challenge (its free!).
It has been nice because it helps me remember my goals and helps me to stay on track for this month. It can be hard, but you can do it! Not only that but if you eat healthy 90% of the time, it’s okay to have a few cookies or so on the weekends or whatever you fancy through the week.
The biggest thing is portion control 🙂 This will help anyone when they are trying to have a more balanced mindset with food.
Okay, enough of me trying to be all healthy coachy! Let’s get into the snacks 🙂
If you missed my first post here it is:
warning: my photography skills are…. not as good as other bloggers, but I promise you the taste is what matters most 🙂
Heavenly Healthy Snacks for Weight Loss PART 2!
Celery & PB Fit
This is such a great snack because you have creamy and crunchy. It satisfies the sweet and salty and crunch need all in one! Also its full of fiber, water, and protein, vitamins and minerals that will keep you hydrated and feeling full and happy afterward!
Top with craisins, raisins, or maybe some sugar-free chocolate chips!
Peanut Butter Banana Rollups
Such a hard thing to say, but super delicious to eat! Banana has potassium in it which is an electrolyte. It is important for our fluids to be in a proper balance to avoid dehydration. PB Fit will also be used instead of peanut butter to keep the fat and calories down.
I like to get a big jar at Costco and I also get my all-natural peanut butter there because it is cheaper. However, if you want to make it with regular peanut butter that’s great too! A serving size is about 2 tbs. I recommend using a food scale to measure out the proper amounts for things that are more calorie-dense. Studies show that people typically overestimate the number of calories they consume in a day.

What You’ll need:
- 1 tortilla (I got mine at Costco, get the lowest calorie you can find:) )
- 1 banana, optional: chocolate chips,
- PB Fit or Natural Peanutbutter
Sweet Potato Chips
I mentioned this in my last one BUT I discovered a NEW Flavor that I just love! White sweet potato, yam sweet potato, and purple sweet potato all taste great as chips or strips or cubes to snack on. Sweet potato has beta carotene, vitamin A, folate, magnesium, and potassium. So it is full of vitamins and minerals. It also has some fiber in it too.
These vitamins help with nerve and eye health. Beta Carotene and vitamin A can also make your skin glowy!

White Chocolate Frozen Yogurt Bars
Packed full of protein, fruit, and creaminess, these yogurt bark bites are superb. These are tasty and provide calcium for your bones, skin, and teeth. Calcium is very important for our bones so we do not get osteoporosis as we age. Our bones start to degrade as we hit 25 years old!
What You’ll need:
- Non-Fat Greek Yogurt plain (You already know- COSTCO baby.)
- Sugar-Free White Chocolate Chips (I have seen them at Target and Sprout’s, they are cheaper at Sprouts!)
- Vanilla Protein Powder (Yall, Pe Science Vanilla is the best #not spons lol)
- Fresh or dried cranberries (how however much you want)
Frozen Sour Patch Kids Grapes
This is a great snack to always keep on hand as it goes in the freezer. It is a great meal prep snack because it takes a little while to make. Lime has vitamin C in it which means more antioxidants. Antioxidants help fight radical damage that can occur from toxins that enter the body!
Grapes are a great idea when you want something sweet but need to get some fruit in. Fruit is absolutely necessary for your daily food intake and should be added in at least 4 servings a day. Women= 2 cups a day Men= 2 cups a day. 1 cup of grapes is a serving size and is about 100 calories.
What Youll Need:
- Green Grapes (washed and de-stemmed, you can make a big sandwich bag full to have for when you want some!)
- Lime juice from 1/2 a lime
- 1-2 tbs Monk Fruit sugar (this depends on how many grapes you are making, you don’t need a lot)
- Squirt lime all over grapes in bowl. Then add about 1-2 tbs of Monk fruit sugar. Mix well with your hands or a spatula and set in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
Cereal &”Vanilla” Milk
I love cereal as much as the next person but it has so much sugar and I find myself going back for more and more! Instead of the traditional Lucky Charms, let’s opt for some whole-grain cereal like plain cheerios. It might seem bland BUT. You need to have the right milk in it!
I love to make a protein shake using unsweetened almond milk and .5 to 1 scoop of Pe Science Vanilla Bean Protein powder. This takes plain cereal to a whole other level! Plain Cheerios have folate, iron, fiber, and other important vitamins and minerals we need in our day. Sometimes fortified foods are necessary if you are on a diet because you might not be eating as much as you could normally.
Chocolate Peppermint Protein Ball Truffles
Creamy and delicious, these are a healthy yet sweet treat you can have a meal prepped for the week to snack on. It might even be a nice afternoon treat for when you want a sweet treat!
White Chocolate Cranberry Bliss Protein balls
Such a mouthful, but a delicious one too. This is a healthier adaption to the Cranberry Bliss Bar from Starbucks. Not only is that about 600 calories a slice, but it is also filled with bad fats and lots of sugar. This can cause insulin resistance, and heart problems later on in life.
With these truffles, they are made with sugar-free chocolate chips, protein powder, creamy cashews and dried cranberries. Come check it out!
Healthy Cookie Dough Bites
These are the best Chickpea Cookie dough Bites I have ever tried. Some taste to artificial or to much like chickpeas. Brittany from Eating Bird Food came out with this recipe and I love it! These are about 70 calories a bite BUT with my own modifications. You can change these however you want to make them lower in calories or a bit sweeter if you prefer but, it is very sweet as is.
Here’s what I did differently than Brittany
- MOST IMPORTANT STEP: Peel the chickpeas. YES its a lot of work, you might not of even known there were skins on the chickpeas BUT this will distinguish a gummy taste from a smooth one. Peeling them makes this turn out like real cookie dough.
- Use Sugar-Free Chocolate where you can. This will cut the calories in half. I love Lilly’s chocolate chips. I have tried others and they suck. For my coating, I used Ghiradelli semi-sweet baking bar.
- I used Cashew butter. This will give it a smoother, sweeter flavor that is stunning! it will make a difference whether it tastes like cookie dough or not.
- Coconut sugar is perfect. I loved using coconut sugar for this recipe as she mentions. This gives it that brown sugar flavor. You can use brown sugar though, they both are sugar so it doesn’t really matter. However, to make it lower in calories, you can use the Swerve Brown Sugar as I used below for the strawberries. It just has an icy flavor sometimes. Coconut sugar doesn’t spike blood as much as brown sugar.
- I used PE science vanilla protein because it tastes amazing and is lower in calories. Again I am not spons! I don’t like the taste of vegan protein powders *sigh* and some other powders have an awful artificial vanilla flavor. This one is a wonderful vanilla bean flavor and it adds a great sweetness to it.
Here is the Recipe!
Strawberries & Cream Cheese with Brown Sugar
What?! Have you ever had this before? Okay well, you are missing out! This might not be the most nutritious snack but it still has fruit in it and if you have the ingredients on hand, it is so good! To make this more seasonal friendly, I recommend trying Pears, figs, dates, oranges, and apples for this time of year (winter).
Eating seasonally is better for our bodies and it’s better for the environment- and it tastes a whole heckinbob better too. The whipped cream cheese is low in fat and calories so it makes it a bit better for weight loss goals 😉
What you’ll need:
- 2tbs of Greek Whipped Cream Cheese (I get mine at Sprouts, I will link a similar one so you know what to look for)
- 1 tbs of Coconut Sugar OR Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute
- sliced fruit of choice!

Lavash Chips or Home made Tortilla Chips
Get a whole grain Lavash Bread in your local grocery store. I get the Atoria Lavash sheet and it only has 100 calories for the whole sheet. Cup it up in little cracker sized bites. Sprinkle garlic salt on top. Put in oven for 400 degrees for 5-10 mins. If you have a toaster oven, it would work a bit better I think! You can also cut up a whole wheat tortilla and it will be the same.
Cucumber Cream Cheese Roll-Ups
Okay do not sleep on these! This is such a bright and cheery snack that tastes savory and delicious. Bell peppers also have beta carotene in them, fiber, and rich antioxidants which are great for the gut and your cells. Cucumber is a nice fruit that has lots of water to keep you feeling full.
The use of Whipped Greek Cream cheese is a lot lower in calories and fat than regular cream cheese and taste way better too. You can also use dairy-free cream cheese if you want- keep in mind the calories though! Also hehe, I am so sorry my picture does not do this justice! I had some pre cut cucumber in my fridge and I used that for this wrap because I didn’t have anything else! Forgive me lol.
what you’ll need:
- 1 Organic Flour tortilla (or whole wheat, Costco is a great place for tortillas)
- 1 tbs of Greek or light whipped cream cheese
- dried dill spice, garlic salt, everything but the bagel seasoning (optional)
- Cucumber, bell pepper strips.
- spread cream cheese on tortilla put in half a cucumber with some of the strips of BP next to it. Carefully roll it up and enjoy!
