Need some tips for your next Healthy Costco grocery trip but need to save some money? Check out my list of over 20 grocery items I buy almost every time so I can save money from other stores.

First off, if you don’t know what Costco is, its like the best bulk foods warehouse. It has bulk items at a lower price then you would normally find at the store. For example, almond milk, cereal, eggs, toilet paper, paper towels and SO MUCH MORE!

I am making this post because there are some crucial grocery items I always buy there that I want others to check out because they have healthy options there that are so affordable. It makes me cringe watching peoples ‘what I eat in a day’ videos and they are buying things at stores like Whole Foods, expensive rice and plant milk that they could buy at Costco for CHEAPER.

psst! Looking to lose weight? Try the amazing 7 Day Reset Cleanse by Christina Carlyle (aff. Link!) I lose 7lbs of water weight and began to crave healthy foods! I would NOT recommend this if it didn’t work!

This is a post for those who can eat in bulk amounts for weeks and have other members at home with them. And also for those who want to save some serious CASH MONEY on healthy grocery items!

Costco prices vary at different club locations so keep this in mind when shopping.

Avocados

I usually get 2 bags of avocados that contain 5-6 avocados in them. They are decently priced at 5-6$ and last me two weeks because I keep them in the fridge! *avocado hack, keeping them in the fridge will keep them fresh for up to 2 weeks.

Spinach

spinach

I use spinach to build up a bulk of my meals and eat it EVERYDAY. I do not buy those measly bags at the store because they are only like 1 lb of spinach and 5$! The one I buy at Costco is a container of 5lbs of spinach for 4.99!!! so cheap and worth it since I eat a lot of it. If you don’t like spinach, they have tons of different greens options.

 Celery

Remember that Juicing trend with tons of celery? Yeah, I could of done that for half the price as normal store celery pricing. Celery is amazing at keeping you full and is a great snack with hummus or peanut butter.  It also comes in a HUGE bag for the same amount of money as the store.

Blueberries

You can get a small container of bluebs for 5$. No. Don’t do that, get a big container for only 6$ and have blueberries last you 2 weeks. OR to save even more money, BUY THEM FROZEN!

Vitamins + Pre workout

Costco has such a good deal on vitamins! I recently bought a multivitamin from them that were vegan with no added colors, or sugar! They had the right amount of nutrients and were perfect price at 15$ for a month’s supply. So much cheaper than other stores that add random ingredients!

Protein powder + Protein Bars

Ah protein powder. Notorious for being extremely pricey and SMALL. Honestly, I am SO happy they have my favorite plant based protein at Costco. It’s the Orgain Chocolate protein and they also have a vanilla too. Its 35$ for a giant container compared to 40$ online for the small container. SAVE your money and buy from Costco.

We also get the Kirkland brand of protein bars because they have 20g of protein, 1g of sugar and only about 5 ingredients all of which are natural. Its only 17$ for like 20 bars! So cheap.

Nuts + Seeds

nuts and seeds for cheap

Nuts are sooo pricy! Go to whole foods or sprouts and you will end up spending way to much for good quality nuts. Costco offerns organic 5 lb pounds of nuts for about 12-18$ depending on the nuts you get.

I usually buy walnuts or almonds there. I can make Nut butter and my own milk if I want with these nuts. They usually last me 6 mos to a year and I keep them in my freezer to keep them FRESH.

Nut Butters

Do not buy your almond butter at the store. It cost 12$ for a 12 oz jar of almond butter. At Costco? For 28 oz it costs 14$. Highly recommend getting your organic natural creamy Kirkland peanut butter here and almond butter too. They also have PB FIT!!

Frozen veggies

I love buying my veggies here. If I had more room in my freezer I would only buy veggies here!  I usually buy butternut squash, broccoli, and cauliflower RICE. They also have giant bags of edamame, root veggies, zucchini spirals, and more. I highly recommend because it’s prepped and ready to go at a fraction of the price.

Frozen fruit

Great for smoothies, Costco offers giant bags of frozen berry mixes, cherries, mangos, strawberries, blueberries, and other fruit medleys at an amazing 10-14$ price. These are like 6-pound bags that will last you up to a year depending on how much you eat.

Tortillas

low carb dinner idea

Good quality low carb tortillas are so pricy and natural food stores! I get these ones from the tortilla factory and they last me months! They are healthy and so much cheaper than at the regular store.

I keep them in my freezer and will get one out whenever I feel like having a burrito or something.

Coffee

Costco has coffee beans, coffee pods and other types of coffee you can purchase. I purchase the 120 coffee pod box and it seems to last the longest!

Almond milk

almond milk and maple syrup for cheap

Costco has almond milk that comes in cartons of 3. These are so perfect to buy because they are about 8$ and can last a whole month depending on how much you drink. 8 dollars for 3 cartons means you are basically getting one for free.

Compare 1 carton of almond milk to sprouts and you will see that one carton at the store is 3.99 to 4.99! The best part, the almond milk is unsweetened and organic!

Eggs

My husband loves to make breakfast burritos for work in the morning. He will meal prep them Sundays and have one every day for the week. If you eat a lot of eggs, these are perfect for you.

Oil

I buy avocado oil, coconut oil, and olive oil here because not only is it GOOD QUALITY, it is also a way big jar and the same price as a regular jar at the store. Save money on coconut oil and get it here. Here are all the oils I have from Costco.

Pasta, rice, beans, quinoa

Grocery staples for weight loss

Buy your bulk grains here if you eat a lot. My husband eats all of these on a weekly basis so its important for us to save money in this area. I bought a giant bag of basmati rice here and its still lasting me and I think I bought it like a year or 2 ago! Its awesome! Not only that but they have a 12 pack of canned black beans we use a lot so we always have them on hand. Same with a giant bag of quinoa.

Monk fruit sugar

Dude I am so happy they sell this at Costco! It’s a bigger bag than at the store and its priced at 8.99 which is a deal! I need to get more…

Maple syrup

If you know how expensive maple syrup from the store is, then you know its pricy and small. This one I believe is 14$ for abig 32 oz jar and its from Canada! Its real maple syrup too and SO good! Save your money and get it here.

Kodiak cakes waffle / pancake mix

kodiak waffles review

If you have seen YouTube videos of “what I eat in a days” then you know many people have this in their day today. But guess what? They have a small box. Check out this giant box that has enough servings to last me for about 6 months! This was so affordable and worth it to me as well because I have a waffle maker and don’t want to make my own!

Amazon price for a 3lb box is 16.50. This was 10.00 for 4.5 lbs.

Frozen Fish

Frozen sea bass is pricey AF at the store. This whole bag has so many servings in it and will last a long while. It’s organic, sustainable and good. It was only $15.

Okay. That’s it! All my favorites! I don’t buy these all the time but they are the things that I usually want to purchase here. I don’t buy nut butter, protein powder, avocados, spinach, or almond milk anywhere else except Costco because I save SO much money.

However, they stopped selling my favorite pre-workout here so now I have to get it at Amazon which is fine. The one pictured is one I will be returning. They used to sell Strawberry Juicy Burst, the grape is to sour 😣

I wanted to show you that you can save tons of money shopping here and also getting fit, and healthy!
