Everyone needs a healthy snack in their life. Why? Well because it will keep you from going for the…not so great snacks. You know, the snacks that you can only eat like 5 but you end up eating the whole bag? Yeah that one.
So, these snacks will help you stick to your calorie deficit while on a diet! They make it easier to stick to it because they are so satisfying and delicious! They are my favorite. Of course, I am still learning more healthy snacks to include but for now this is what I have for you today!
These snacks low in calories but you can eat a lot of it for little calories. This will help you from binging on something like chips or cookies.
Some people may disagree with me on some of these but, if these are going to help you from going for the bad stuff (like they have helped me!) then it is worth it to give it a shot!
If you want to try and get on a detox from the sugar program, I HIGHLY suggest the 7 Day Reset Cleanse by Christina Carlyle. It is my favorite program for getting back on track to eating healthy. (Affiliate link 😊)

Sweet Healthy Snack Options:
These babies are essential for some lower-calorie and sugar-free dessert or sweet recipes! They make yogurt and cookie dough delicious! Chocolate Fudge Pudding mix, PBFIT, Select Gourmet Vanilla Protein Powder(taste like vanilla bean!)
Chocolate or Cheesecake ‘pudding’
There are sugar-free puddings you can make that taste amazing! To increase the satiation factor, you can add this to some nonfat sugar-free yogurt to make it really taste like pudding! Another way you can make a chocolate, cheesecake, or vanilla pudding is by adding 1 tbs of vanilla bean/ chocolate protein powder to your yogurt and topping it with berries. for this one, I used the vanilla protein powder for the yogurt.
Peanut Butter Rice cake
Ah yes. Peanut butter! It is actually a weakness for me… I could eat spoonfuls of this stuff. Which is why I had to cut it out of my diet for the most part. With this snack, we are using a higher protein, lower-calorie version: PBFit. This peanut butter is so much lower in calories and tastes delicious. With this snack, you can have 2 rice cakes, 2 tbs or more of PBFIT, and some banana or chocolate chips on top to make a very delicious snack!
Toast with Peanut Butter & Banana
This is again, made with PBFIT because it’s lower in calories. But if you like a little more bread, I highly suggest using some Ezekiel or other toast and ½ banana if you need a bigger snack. Add some salt and a little chocolate chips to make it extra tasty.
Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake
THIS. This is my go-to for after-dinner dessert! I will be coming out with an official post for this one but you will need some protein shake or a vanilla bean protein powder. You will also need a food processor or high-speed blender for this as well.
- 5oz of Caramel Premier Protein Shake
- 1 cup of Strawberries
- Blend it up, it will be like ice cream or you can drink it like a milkshake. Add some yogurt to make it thicker and some water to make it more drinkable. Add ground light flax on top for a gram cracker taste!
Chocolate Cottage cheese and berries
Some people don’t like cottage cheese… If you don’t eat dairy or like cottage cheese, fill up a bowl of tons of different fruits! You can get fun and creative with this. Add watermelon, oranges, dates, grapes, strawberries, and more. With this picture, I blended up 1tbs sugar free chocolate pudding mix, Cottage cheese, plant milk, and 1 tbs of Greek yogurt.

Fruit Salad
This goes off the option above, grab a bowl of your favorite fruit, add some yogurt, OR some natural orange juice on top. This will make a delicious fruit salad without added sugar. This will give you a great boost of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and carbs for energy!
Protein bar- frozen!
Protein bars are SO GOOD. Sometimes, they are packed with added sugar and super high in calories. The ones I really like are from Costco and they are brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. The only problem is you can eat protein bars to quickly. To keep from doing this, store them in the freezer so you can savor them and eat slower.

-healthy- Cookie Dough
Yay! Cookie dough. I love cookies dough and chocolate and everything sweet. However, all the added fat, sugar, and carbs don’t make a great addition to weight loss. Create your own healthy cookie dough from this recipe: Protein Cookie Dough Bites OR:
- 1 serving of chickpeas + 1 tsp peanut butter
- ½ banana
- 1 scoop vanilla bean protein powder
- 2tbs of chocolate chips
- Blend the chickpeas, oil, banana and protein powder in a food processor, go until creamy. Add chocolate chips, and you can eat that all!
Coffee with caramel protein shake
Coffee has appetite-suppressing properties that will help you with hunger. Also, when I want something sweet, I add in 3oz of the caramel protein shake (you can get these at Costco) to make it taste like a caramel coffee!

Savory Healthy Snack Options:
Cottage cheese
Again, if you don’t like cottage cheese, skip out on this one and go for some yogurt or another option below.
Lavash bread chips
If you don’t know what lavash bread is, you need too! It is my favorite of all time. You can get this at any grocery store, my favorite is Atoria’s Lavash Bread I don’t buy it from Amazon but I just wanted to link it so you saw which one is the best. This has 100 calories per sheet!
Cut the lavish bread into crackers, spray a little oil on top, add seasonings, and bake them in the oven at 400 degrees (there are instructions on the package!) This will help you will that cracker/ chip craving.
Sweet potato chips or your own baked fries -oil-free-
Make your own fries or sweet potato chips! I really like to bake mini potatoes without oil and bake them at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. They get super crispy and are perfect with some low-calorie ranch or other low cal dressing (or by themselves!)

POPCORN
THIS. I usually get a giant bag of popcorn from Costco. Its only 130 calories for 3.7 cups of popcorn and is very natural. It has lots of fiber and is great for snacking when watching tv or doing mundane tasks.

Baked Veggies & Hummus or other sauce
Veggies are awesome! You can eat them raw or baked to a crisp if you want. Potatoes, carrots, celery, cucumbers, zucchini, bell peppers, beets, are just a few different veggies you can have in large amounts for low calories. Highly recommend. If using a dressing, please look at serving sizes and use a scale to measure it out.

Brown rice cakes & hummus
If you are in the mood for a quick snack, a serving of hummus and a rice cake will only be about 50 calories! Top it with veggies for more fiber! 😊
You will notice I do not have a lot of processed snacks on this list, the truth is, they have a lot of added fats, sugars, and salt to them. I recommend you check out this video on additives and other things manufacturers add to foods to MAKE you crave them! (I’m sorry the thumbnail is so gross!)
How come we can’t stop eating those processed snacks?
How Additives in Processed Foods make you addicted and CRAVE them!
These healthy snacks are exactly that, healthy! You may have to make some of them yourself, but hey it will help you determine whether you are ‘hungry’ or just having a craving. They are also healthy and perfect diet foods because they are low in calories, and high in protein or fiber. When you’re eating a food that is high in either of these, you will feel full no matter how many calories it contains.
Protein is the most satiating macronutrient (study!), making it perfect to increase a bit while on a healthy lifestyle journey or weight loss journey.
It is important to listen to your body and hunger cues, if you are truly hungry for a snack, all of these options would be yummy to you. However, if you are just having a craving, veggies, or fruit probably don’t sound that good.
These snacks will help you with cravings for salty and sweet foods. It will reverse your brain into wanting healthier foods instead of the junk. I promise you, if you stay away from the Junk foods that are high in additives and other ingredients, you will crave healthier foods instead.
