Avocados are Gods greatest superfood on Earth. Today we will be talking about at least 10 Benefits of Avocados You Wish You Knew Sooner.

These range from skin care to weight loss benefits! What are we waiting for?! Let’s dive right in.

Glowing skin

Avocados are filled with healthy nutritious fats that nourish our bodies inside and out. It’s no secret many people have been using avocados for beauty treatments for many years! You can look up any avocado face mask and it will change the look of your skin within a day.

You will notice the more you eat avocados, your skin will become more moisturized. A combination of this and lots of water will help clear your acne and blemishes on your face.

I noticed this when I was breaking out a lot that eating avocados and drinking water helps me feel refreshed and not so cloggy in my face.

Fat Loss

I am currently eating more healthy fats in my diet and I can confirm that avocados do aide in fat loss. The reason for this is that it is so much more nutrient dense, has good complex carbs, has lots of fiber, and a good amount of fat.

Avocados can fill you up making you fuller for longer. This is great because if you are a snacker or have a sweet tooth, the healthy fat can help curb that craving! (Everyone is different but try it out for yourself and see if eating an avocado will help!)

Another reason why avocados and other superfoods higher in fat help with fat loss is because when you burn energy, it will burn the bad fats before the good fats aiding in the shedding of lbs.

Hair growth

    1. Omg. I love avocado oil for my hair!! Not only does it have a lighter smell and feel to it than olive oil, but it also nourishes the dry ends!

My hair soaks up the avo oil as soon as I put it in my hair which is so crazy because it shows how much our skin and hair will absorb this amazing nutrient.

Not only do I use avo oil on my hair, but I will also make an avocado hair mask with this. A little avocado, some flax gel or oil, and aloe vera with tea tree or rosemary essential oils will increase shine and damage control on your hair. You will notice visibly shiny softer hair that is just amazing.

Continuing to do a hair mask or hair oil before showers (maybe once or twice a week depending on how often your wash hair) will massively grow your hair! Not only will it grow your hair, but, it will make it thicker and softer as well.

    Faster metabolism

This is going to sound repetitive but again… because of the healthy fats. They help aid in fat loss because of their high-fat content! Research shows that people who eat more of these green machines will have less belly fat than those who don’t!

Fat doesn’t haven’t effect on your insulin levels so you won’t crave more sweets. It will help aid in slow digestion which is good and help increases your metabolism. It takes energy to break down the fat making you burn more calories.

    Healthy fats

Sometimes with all of the amazing carby foods out there, we don’t get enough healthy fats! These are so important as they curb salty and sweet cravings that keep you fuller for longer.

Like I mentioned earlier, when you stay fuller for longer, you will lose fat. You won’t continuously snack! Add an avocado to lunch dinner or even breakfast and you will notice more energy, focus, and nourishment as well as less snacking.

The more you eat healthy fats the more benefits you will receive! So go grab an avocado!

    Smooth move

I hope you know where I am going with this…If not well….Avocados have lots of fiber in them! Fiber is great for going to the bathroom regularly.

Continuous fiber intake will help you lose weight and water weight too. Your digestion will thank you and you will thank me and avocados.

Going to the “bathroom” regularly will keep your body routine of the ridding of toxins and other waste that could be making your stomach hurt! Your body will feel so much fresher and tighter every morning by eating more fiber… or an avocado!

    It is nutrient dense

This powerhouse fruit contains many essential vitamins and some minerals that the body needs. Some of the vitamins and minerals include:

    Vitamin a

    Vitamin c

    Vitamin k

    Vitamin e

    Folate

    And choline

    Calcium

Magnesium (great for a good nights sleep)

    Phosphorus

    Sodium

    And fluoride.

Not only does it have all of those beautiful vitamins, it is gorgeous and green and doesn’t contain sugar (1 g)  so it’s probably the healthiest fruit you can eat!

    You will literally be healthier

This basically correlates with everything that we talked about earlier! You will have a healthy routine and body-feel if you try to eat an avocado every day. If you don’t eat avocados or don’t like the way they taste, there are many different ways to incorporate them in your diet on a daily.

Swap out the olive oil for avocado oil! I love avo oil as I think it tastes way better and has a higher smoke point. It’s a nice light oil that’s still nourishing and not as processed as olive oil.

Avocado for an oil replacer! In a sweet recipe, you can replace the oil for avocado for a creamier rich desert. This depends on the desert of course but you can make many sweet things with this versatile fruit like a rich chocolate mousse.

Avocado toast with nutritional yeast. This will create a super yummy creamy spread for your toast with a cheezy taste.

Add it to a salad for a creamier “dressing”. Literally just mashing an avocado with nooch (nutritional yeast) and some hym salt, and pepper is sooo good. The more you stir and mix it the more dressing-like it is…this is the perfect finishing touch to a Buddha bowl or salad for that extra dose of healthy fat without all the extra unhealthy oils processed dressings have.

    Powerful antioxidant superfood

Avocado has been known to be a powerful antioxidant and superfood for many years. Like mentioned earlier it has so many essential vitamins and minerals in them. They have the essential omega 3’s and potassium as well which are great for inflammation and muscle recovery after a workout.

Foods that are known to be antioxidant rich can help prevent illnesses and diseases and make our immune system lots stronger. Because of the high amount of oils in avocados, it is also known to make the heart work better and stay stronger! This is great news since our bodies go through so much on the daily!

It will help increase nutrition and taste for ANY meal

I love avocados so much as you can tell by this post but they truly are a miracle for me because they increase value to my food and nutrition.

A lot of the times being plant-based or vegan, it can be hard to find things to eat when going out to restaurants. I know If they have avocado, I’m set because I can eat that with a salad or make my own taco and I’m good!

Some of the ways I love enjoying my avocado are as follows:

    • Guacamole & chips or fresh tortillas
    • On toast with nooch and hym salt
    • As a fat topper in a Buddha bowl
    • As a dip for my sweet potatoes
    • Smoothies
    • Brownies
    • Fudge
    • Mousse
    • By it self
    • As a taco meat replacer or on top of tacos
    • In a burrito with spinach and cashew cream on top
    • As a creamy green sauce
    • On veg burgers
    • Tofu scramble

As you can see, I have made many things with avos and will continue to do so because of all these benefits! Make sure you’re getting them nice and dark green but not to squishy or they could be bad! The greener and softer inside the better!

PRO TIP: Buy avocados in bulk at Costco.  Putting a bag or two of avocados that are at beginning ripeness, will stay fresh for as long as 2 weeks! Knowing this trick has saved me money and avocados!
